Dr. Ronald Gravitz – Children & Adolescent’s Dentist
Dr. Ronald Gravitz, a second generation Washingtonian, has been practicing Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry in Montgomery County for nearly 40 years. Following graduation from Winston Churchill H.S., he received a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. He then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, for his D.M.D degree. Finally, he obtained his certificate in Pedodontics from the University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore, and the John F Kennedy Institute, which is affiliated with The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Ron split private practice and teaching at the University of Maryland Dental School, for which he was honored with their three “Outstanding Clinical Instructor” awards over a five year period. He has been solely in private practice in Rockville since that time period. Ron is a firm believer that all children deserve the best possible dentistry that is available–and not undergo what he did as a child.
Ron has been a member of three local Dental Study clubs continuously for several decades in order to stay involved with the advances in all the various fields of dentistry. Furthermore, he has been selected by his peers consistently as a “Top Dentist” in Washingtonian Magazine, since the feature started in 1999. Among his interests outside of dentistry included travel (foreign and domestic), sports, art (contemporary/fun) and music (especially classic rock), museums, and enjoying the ever growing DMV food scene.
Dr G and his wife, a former elementary school teacher, are “empty nesters” living in Potomac, with their two children living in the Md/Va suburbs.
